The Pereira family have been in the coffee growing business in the Carmo de Minas region of Brazil since 1979. The passion started with Jose Isidro Pereira, a pioneer of coffee growing in Carmo de Minas. He inherited Fazenda Sertão after his mother passed away and decided to give up his career in dentistry to pursue coffee farming. Along the journey he met the love of his life, Nazareth, and together built up coffee’s reputation in the region. Today, the farm is managed by their children Francisco, Luiz Paulo, Clycia and Sandra – carrying on the family tradition.

The cup has the hallmarks of a “classic” coffee. A true crowd-pleaser.

The purchase of this coffee supports the CriaCarmo Project. A portion of proceeds funds school monitoring, learning and sports practices for children and adolescents between 7 and 17 years old, all from the Carmo de Minas region.
